This project was inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s institutionalized from his second album “To Pimp A Butterfly” which was launched in 2015. The original line, “shit don’t change until you get up and wash your ass.” has stayed on my mind since the moment I heard it. The comical yet captivating saying has consistently motivated me in times of struggle. many people complain about some of the things they struggle with while often the solution is simply to get up and make shit happen.
